Dr. Parker Collins
Veterinarian
DEGREE: University Of Georgia - College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Parker Collins is a native of Cochran, Ga. He obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia and is a proud Bulldog. After graduation he split his time working at a general practice during the week and in emergency medicine on the weekends. While working in emergency he met his wife Charlee, who is a Registered Veterinary Technician and a native of Dublin, Ga.
Parker and Charlee worked together as a doctor/nurse team for 2 years at an urgent care practice in Greenville, South Carolina, until Charlee started staying home full-time in January 2022 when their son Henry was born. For the past several months Parker has been working a full time job as an urgent care veterinarian and part-time as general practice veterinarian so that his wife would be able to stay home with their son.
Parker says he and his wife had always known that when they had children they’d want to be back closer to home. “When the opportunity to come to Park Place was presented to us it felt like it was really just meant to be. We are excited to be a reasonable driving distance to our families. Charlee is excited that going back to full time general practice will afford us with better childcare options so that she’ll be able to return to doing what she enjoys most as well, taking care of companion animals. Although we are still adjusting to parenting a human we have had a good amount of practice with our a very lazy 12 year old Chihuahua named Ellie, our rambunctious 8 year old English Springer Spaniel named Huck, and our somewhat devious 5 & 2 year old cats Jim and Pam.”
